[This is the last "Ask the Geek" for 2007, since the Stratford Star (the newspaper that publishes it) is going to sleep for the holidays. I thought it would be fitting to end the year with a technology-related holiday poem. I hope you enjoy it.]

Description: This poem was written for a newborn baby boy, Teirnan, for his “awakening”. It was presented to him with an artificial rose. The purpose of the celebration was for his family’s friends to give a token to the newborn so he would know he was surrounded by friends right from the beginning.

Description: Free-verse. This is the latest I’ve written. I wrote it on Friday the 13th, based on an event that happened that same day. It was a creepy event. I hope it comes across that way.

Description: This is a strange little free verse piece. I found it when I was going through some documents on a laptop. I’m pretty sure I wrote it just so that my wife would say “yuck”. This is one reason never to lay in bed with a laptop computer. (By the way, it’s supposed to be funny, in a dark sort of way.)
