I know it’s one day before NaNo starts, but I just had to know some things: First, what am I writing about and second, can I write that much in a day?

I discovered that I’m going to be writing about a woman named Allison, but I’m not sure what I’ll be writing about. I know more about her now, but not a lot. She promised that things will get weird, though, which made me smile. I did so want a weird novel.

I also know that I’ll keep the whole thing under wraps during the month of November. The only sneak peak I’ll allow myself or anyone else will be the “novel exerpt” that will eventually appear both here and on my author profile page at NaNo.

I can do this!

Update, 2:08pm: It seems that amount isn’t a problem either. I broke 1,700 words in my first sitting, and added another 1,000 to that in pieces over the next few hours. I’ve learned about a second character, and I may just have my plot.

Oh,  by the way, I do know that everything I’m typing today is just practice, and none of it counts toward my word count in NaNo. I’m not writing a story, just getting my characters to talk.
