Site Redesign
October 4, 2007 10:00 am Site NewsHello all. It’s high time that WritersCafe.net got a redesign. The content was sorely out of date and the look-and-feel was “late 90’s - early 00’s,” if you’re gracious. Thus, everything is being ripped out and reconditioned.
Here’s one last look at the old site:

I decided to convert the site to a WordPress blog. This way I’ll be able to post my writing and allow for people to comment immediately rather than send an email. We’ll see how it goes! It will look odd at first. I’m going to move selected poems and short stories over to the new format, but I’m going to date the posts with the original date of the piece, or as close as possible. This is mostly because I want the content to be here, but I don’t want it to appear that everything happened all at once.
The bad part is that there will be no comments for a several-year period. I’ll look like an extraordinarily lonely author for a while. It will also serve to expose how huge the gaps have become between updates.
I’m getting myself all worked up for NaNoWriMo this year. I’ve never done it. This year is my year. I’m not sure how much I’ll post on this site and how much I’ll keep to myself. Time will tell. This is a new idea and format for me.
Comments and critique are always welcome.

Hey, nice to see you.
I see you’ve been bitten by Wordpress as well. So you’re in Stratford huh? Nice. I like living close to yet slightly insulated from Dallas, though I expect in the next couple of years I’ll move closer to the metroplex.
Good luck on Nano. I always say I want to do it and then I chicken out.
But I’ve set myself some daily writing goals for what I’m working on now, so either I’ll be used to writing a lot by then or I’ll be so deep and happy in my novel I won’t want to worry about Nano.
Great to see you though.
You should hit me up on IM sometime, we have many things to talk about, I’m sure.
